Real tax experts behind your plan

Organize subscriptions and tips

Subscriptions, tips, and pay-per-view sales, kept together with the costs of producing content.

Get answers about your 1099, production costs, and what to set aside from each payout.

Stay ahead of the tax bill

Taxes usually aren't withheld from creator payouts, so reminders help you make estimated payments on time.

Possible deductions you could write off

Producing content has costs.
Count every one.

From the lighting on your set to the software behind your posts,
creating for subscribers comes with costs worth reviewing.

Cameras and lighting

Cameras, ring lights, and tripods you use to shoot content may be deductible at their business-use share.

Editing and scheduling software

Apps for editing photos and video, planning posts, and managing your page are worth tracking.

Wardrobe and props for content

Outfits and props used only for content may qualify. Clothing you could wear every day generally doesn't, so keep the two apart.

Internet and phone

Uploading, messaging subscribers, and filming all rely on your phone and connection. Track the share used for your page.

Filming space

A space used regularly and only for shooting and editing may qualify as a home office. An expert can review the details.

Promotion and collaborations

Costs to promote your page, or to produce content with a collaborator, may count as business expenses.

How the estimate works and what it leaves out

The benchmark uses the midpoint of the category ranges supplied for this calculator. The featured expense gap is the benchmark minus entered review amounts, floored at zero. It is an illustrative comparison, not tax savings or proof that any additional costs exist. These are product assumptions, not IRS expense averages for individual occupations. A zero gap does not mean you have no deductible expenses.

The two supporting federal savings examples compare simplified 2026 federal income and self-employment tax before and after a hypothetical additional expense amount. That amount is the smaller of the remaining expense gap, 10% of gross 1099 income, and positive business profit after entered review amounts. Entered amounts are treated as qualifying solely for this illustration. The model uses the standard deduction, 2026 brackets, 92.35% net self-employment earnings, the 2026 Social Security wage base, Medicare tax, and a simplified additional Medicare tax. The two outcomes use a basic 20% qualified business income assumption and no QBI assumption. They are not bounds on actual savings. Your W-2 amount is treated as an approximation of both income-tax wages and Social Security wages; if those amounts differ, the result will change. For joint filers, the spouse W-2 amount affects household income tax and the additional Medicare threshold, but does not reduce your personal Social Security wage base.

This is not a full tax return. It does not calculate itemized deductions, credits, other income, the detailed qualified business income limits, alternative minimum tax, state tax, payroll details, business entity choice, or every special tax rule. Checked ideas without entered amounts do not affect the calculation. Entered costs still require documentation and eligibility review. Vehicle mileage and actual vehicle costs for the same vehicle cannot simply be added together. Some rental activity belongs on Schedule E and may not be subject to self-employment tax.

Questions creators ask privately

OnlyFans taxes,
answered without judgment.

Your subscriptions, your tips,
and what to keep track of.

Do I owe tax on OnlyFans income without a 1099?

Yes. Creator income is taxable whether or not a form arrives. Download your earnings statements each year; they're the record you report from either way.

How do I check my 1099 against what I was paid?

Compare any tax form you receive with your earnings statements, so your income is reported once and correctly. A tax expert can help you confirm whether the figures are before or after platform fees.

Can I write off outfits and props?

Items used only for content may qualify at their business-use share. Everyday clothing generally doesn't, and good records are what make a deduction hold up.

No one withholds taxes from my payouts. What should I do?

Set aside part of your profit as it comes in. If you expect to owe $1,000 or more for the year, the IRS generally expects estimated payments during the year.

Can 1099vibe help if I create on more than one platform?

Yes. OnlyFans, other subscription platforms, and any other creator income can be organized as one business, privately and with one set of estimates.
